About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Gather requirements, perform fit-gap analysis, and design, configure, implement, test, and support Microsoft Power Platform solutions
  • Design and develop web components using .NET, SQL, Azure, Dynamics 365, Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and C#
  • Troubleshoot and remediate Dynamics 365 technical issues
  • Document solutions and collaborate with system administrators and IT resources to implement fixes
  • Adhere to best practices and define or refine governance for platform use at VDOT
  • Develop and disseminate platform documentation, including requirements, recommendations, and technical analyses
  • Prepare mockups and prototypes based on business requirements
  • Liaise between IT and business units and serve as a point of contact for issue logging, tracking, and resolution
  • Help customers evaluate Dynamics 365, PowerApps, Power Automate, and alternative technologies
  • Recommend efficient solutions to meet business needs
  • Improve processes and policies within the Business Enablement Services program
  • Work with Developers and System Engineers
  • Review and refine existing processes and procedures
  • Participate in on-call duties and provide after-hours support as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5 years of experience as a D365 Technical Lead
  • 8 years of experience creating and managing solutions using Dynamics 365 Customer Service
  • 8 years of experience customizing and implementing Forms, Views, Plug-Ins, Workflows, and BPFs in D365
  • 5 years of custom development experience using .NET, JavaScript, and C#
  • 3 years of experience with Power Platform and Dataverse
  • 3 years of experience using standard and premium connectors with PowerApps and Power Automate
  • Experience with DevOps in Power Platform/D365 environments preferred: 2 years
  • Experience with data integrations and migrations using ADF and SSIS Packages desired: 5 years
  • Expertise in Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement and Dynamics 365 Customer Service module
  • Experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 customization, configuration, development, deployment, and usage
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform licensing models
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to work from home while providing the expected level of support
  • Availability for on-call and after-hours work as needed
