About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, and maintain .NET Core backend services and APIs
- Collaborate with SQL developers to implement efficient data access patterns
- Contribute to modernization of an enterprise tolling transaction platform using microservices and modular architecture
- Develop new application features and enhance existing functionalities
- Participate in performance optimization efforts across application layers
- Integrate with Azure-based components and cloud services
- Support CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps or GitHub pipelines
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and deliver sprint commitments
- Collaborate with solution architects, cloud engineers, SQL developers, API developers, and testers
- Report to the Development Manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of experience developing applications using .NET Core and C#
- 7+ years of experience building REST APIs and microservices
- 7+ years of experience consuming and integrating with SQL Server on Azure VM environments
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and best practices
- 7+ years of experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub for CI/CD pipelines
- 7+ years of experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
- Experience integrating backend systems with ETL pipelines such as SSIS or Databricks
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
- 5 years of experience with Terraform or other IaC tools (desired)
- 5 years of familiarity with domain-driven design and microservices (desired)
- 5 years of experience with distributed systems or high-availability environments (desired)
- Understanding of tolling or transportation systems (preferred but not required)
- 3 years of experience integrating backend systems with ETL pipelines such as SSIS or Databricks (desired)
- 3 years of experience with Azure Data Factory
- Experience with .NET Core, C#, REST APIs, microservices, SQL Server, Azure VM, Azure DevOps, GitHub, Agile/Scrum, SSIS, Databricks, and Azure Data Factory
