About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Create and configure Power Apps and Power Automate, including Canvas and Model-driven Apps
Create and configure Power Pages for external and internal websites
Customize, configure, develop, deploy, and use Microsoft Power Platform solutions
Work with Microsoft Copilot Studio
Lead functionality discovery workshops and requirements gathering sessions
Map business challenges and use cases to functional solutions and develop applications using Power Platform
Participate in code reviews and enforce standards and best practices
Troubleshoot Power Platform issues, document solutions, and work with system administrators and IT resources to implement fixes
Create design solutions and documentation for common use case scenarios
Develop and disseminate platform documentation, including requirements, recommendations, and technical analysis
Prepare mockups and prototypes based on requirements
Define and refine a governance approach for VDOT's Power Platform use
Participate in Agile SDLC

Requirements

What you’ll need

5 years of experience with Power Platform and Dataverse
5 years of experience designing, implementing, and migrating solutions utilizing Power Apps, Power BI, and Power Automate (Flow)
5 years of custom development experience using .NET, JavaScript, and C#
2 years of experience with DevOps in Power Platform environments
8 years of total IT experience
3 years of experience with data integrations and migrations using Azure Synapse/Azure Data Factory
Experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio highly desired (1 year)
Experience with SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, PowerShell Scripting, and SPFx highly desired (5 years)
Certifications in PowerApps Professional or PowerApps Developer
Strong communication skills for technical and business requirement discussions
