About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies effectively and consistently
- Maintain backlogs, work items, and dashboards in Azure DevOps or similar systems
- Create and refine Azure DevOps cards and supporting documentation
- Track and report delivery metrics including velocity, burndown, risks, blockers, and project status
- Document action items, decisions, and status updates
- Perform appropriate investigation before escalating issues
- Collaborate regularly with the Development Manager for team alignment
- Support process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities and proposing ideas
- Ensure accuracy and transparency in reporting
- Assist with dependency coordination across teams
- Support VDOT’s Tolling (E-ZPASS) delivery team through Agile facilitation, delivery operations, documentation, reporting, DevOps card creation, and cross-team coordination
- Support execution, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement with the Development Manager
- Deliver well-facilitated Agile ceremonies, accurate and timely reporting, high-quality DevOps card creation and backlog maintenance, clear documentation and action tracking, effective risk and blocker mitigation, and process improvement contributions
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3–5 years of experience as a Scrum Master supporting Agile teams
- Strong understanding of Agile values and frameworks
- Experience with Azure DevOps or similar Agile work management systems
- Experience tracking and reporting Agile delivery metrics
- Ability to investigate issues before escalation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- CSM Certification required
- PMP Certification preferred
- Experience in large enterprise or government environments
- Familiarity with Agile maturity efforts or transformations
- 3 years of experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies
- 3 years of experience with Agile frameworks, values, and team coaching
- 3 years of experience with Azure DevOps or similar Agile work management systems
- 3 years of experience creating and managing work items/user stories/tasks
- 3 years of experience with project reporting, metrics, and dashboards
- 3 years of experience with documentation and administrative support
- 3 years of experience with process improvement and continuous improvement involvement
- 3 years of experience with root-cause investigation before escalation
- 3 years of experience with cross-team communication and collaboration
- 3 years of experience supporting Agile delivery in technical environments
- 3 years of experience balancing Agile facilitation with delivery operations
