About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Set direction for digital health pharmacovigilance processes
  • Establish, maintain, and continuously improve end-to-end processes aligned with global regulatory requirements and industry best practice
  • Advise headquarters and affiliates on PV obligations for internally and externally owned digital health initiatives
  • Assess external partners’ PV qualifications and capabilities
  • Develop, negotiate, and maintain compliant PV agreements for headquarters-owned digital engagement programmes
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to align PV obligations across customer engagement activities
  • Interpret pharmacovigilance and device vigilance requirements and guidelines
  • Provide actionable advice to stakeholders
  • Define and continuously improve external partner management processes
  • Negotiate PV agreements with external partners and maintain oversight of partners affecting the Novo Nordisk PV system
  • Help integrate acquisitions into the global PV framework
  • Oversee PV process aspects of market research, patient support, digital health, and social media programmes
  • Collaborate with headquarters stakeholders, affiliate colleagues, external partners, and Global Patient Safety subject matter experts
  • Interact with senior leaders across functions and geographies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s degree in Life Sciences
  • 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong, hands-on expertise in pharmacovigilance
  • Extensive knowledge of international PV legislation, including GVP, GMP and GCP
  • Experience across multiple PV roles
  • Proven track record providing PV guidance in digital health initiatives, market research programmes, and early/expanded access programmes
  • Experience establishing and maintaining PV agreements and managing external partners
  • Experience assessing external partners’ PV qualifications and capabilities
  • Familiarity with key PV business processes, safety systems, and relevant IT tools
  • Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and business context
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Confidence working in global, cross-functional environments
  • Strong analytical skills and sound judgement
  • Ability to work independently and communicate with authority and clarity
  • Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on execution
