About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work with business stakeholders, project teams, and vendors to ensure process control systems for existing and new equipment and processes align with local and global standards
- Work with equipment vendors to specify equipment IFAs and requirements
- Ensure equipment can connect to and be used in local manufacturing while meeting all requirements
- Serve as gatekeeper for automation standards
- Support plans to maintain and improve process control systems
- Schedule and execute plans in coordination with manufacturing schedules
- Serve as an automation resource on projects involving process control systems
- Develop understanding of site process control systems through self-development and initiative
- Adhere to automation standards and implement necessary changes to automation-related specifications and maintenance plans
- Support audits and inspections for process control systems
- Utilize cLEAN® tools for systematic problem solving, process improvement, and project management
- Operate within a quality mindset focused on risk management and mitigation
- Implement effective change management
- Support Corporate, PS, local IT, and local stakeholder initiatives and projects
- Participate in developing new SOPs, best practices, and maintenance procedures
- Follow safety and environmental requirements
- Perform other assigned accountabilities
- Report to the Manager or Senior Manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related field of study from an accredited university required
- May consider an Associate’s degree in engineering or related field from an accredited university with a minimum of five (5) years of engineering experience in process-based manufacturing, utility, &/or packaging systems required
- May consider a High School Degree/GED with a minimum of seven (7) years of engineering experience in process-based manufacturing, utility, &/or packaging systems required
- Minimum of three (3) years engineering experience in process-based manufacturing, utility, &/or packaging systems required
- Knowledge of SAP EM, PLC, DCS/SCADA, MES, Oracle, MS SQL (databases), and Historian
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
- For Logistics roles only: Warehouse automation equipment a plus, including Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems, Automated Guided Vehicles, Autonomous Mobile Robots, and conveyor systems
- Proven expertise in planning, organization, and execution of engineering activities a plus
- Ability to follow up on results and revise work plans for moderately complex problems resolved by cross-functional teams a plus
- Ability to translate high-level direction into actionable tasks using cLEAN® / Six Sigma methodologies a plus
- Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction
- Must follow safety and environmental requirements
