About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Improve systems and equipment reliability on the assigned process
- Reduce system and equipment downtime and support operation of the assigned process
- Follow all safety, environmental, and standard operating procedure requirements
- Support development and establishment of maintenance procedures, maintenance plans, and spare parts lists
- Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on assigned processes
- Document all maintenance activities correctly in SAP
- Partner with process owners to improve process equipment performance and reliability
- Train fellow technicians in areas of expertise and learn new systems
- Use Systematic Problem Solving tools for root cause analysis and equipment issue resolution
- Suggest practical equipment and department work-practice improvements
- Collaborate with Responsible Engineers and Manufacturing personnel to troubleshoot equipment problems
- Support event response activities and document problems through resolution
- Perform other assigned accountabilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate's Degree in relevant field or equivalent military/industry training, including a thorough understanding of mechanical, electrical & control systems
- 1-5 years of relevant work experience required
- Proficiency in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and other technical documents
- Demonstrated systematic approach to problem solving and troubleshooting
- Ability to work rotating shifts, night shifts, extended shifts, and/or weekends
- Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical specifications, drawings, and technical data sheets
- Ability to move equipment or supplies weighing up to 33 pounds
- Ability to stand for up to a 12-hour shift
- Ability to work in loud noise environments with hearing protection
- Ability to pass a driving exam for powered industrial trucks
- Knowledge of one or more listed process areas preferred
- Experience with automated records systems such as SAP preferred
- Computer literacy preferred
- Experience planning and organizing work, managing execution, checking results, and revising work plans is a plus
