About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Represent Novo Nordisk, Inc. to targeted accounts and thought-leaders in an assigned territory
- Maximize sales and establish Novo Nordisk as a leader in the hemophilia marketplace
- Achieve sales objectives by implementing approved marketing and local sales strategies
- Sell and promote hemophilia products to physicians, nurses, home care companies, social workers, pharmacies, hemophilia/hematology organizations and other paramedical customers
- Develop strategically targeted, account-specific business plans based on local, regional and national market forces
- Maintain relationships with physicians, nurses, specialty pharmacies and other paramedical customers
- Collaborate with Rare Blood Account Managers, community liaisons, medical liaisons and other departments
- Drive sales, exceed goals and influence behavior change with healthcare professionals
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders in person and virtually
- Engage customers through two-way dialogue and active listening to uncover needs
- Share new information and insights related to patient management in rare blood disorders
- Coordinate with field and home-office colleagues across the total geography
- Identify customer insights and monitor local healthcare market trends
- Create, adapt and execute territory business plans
- Apply business acumen, analytical skills and knowledge of the local healthcare ecosystem to drive results
- Lead initiatives and execute local projects
- Organize work effectively and operate ethically and compliantly
Requirements
What you’ll need- A Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of five (5) years of pharmaceutical/healthcare sales experience, with Rare Disease experience preferred, OR a minimum of five (5) years of relevant Rare Disease experience required, including at least two (2) years in pharmaceutical sales
- Rare Disease experience may include hemophilia care, treatment or advocacy
- Expert knowledge of the hemophilia market preferred
- Ability to facilitate trust and understanding
- Aptitude for learning and communicating technical and scientific product and disease management information required
- Decision-making ability and leadership skills required
- Intermediate computer skills, including Windows, Word and Excel, required
- Ability to evaluate options, make decisions and operate business activities with minimal supervision
- Prior experience using sales data/call reporting software preferred
- Valid driver’s license maintained in good standing
- Ability to meet the physical requirement of 50–75% overnight travel
