About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead global outsourcing activities and manage CMO collaborations
Manage outsourcing projects within oral and injectable drug product solutions from initiation to completion
Select and approve CMOs
Negotiate and maintain relevant agreements with Contract Managers
Build strong, collaborative external partnerships
Protect Novo intellectual property rights
Ensure timely delivery of high-quality assessments
Facilitate cross-organisational collaboration across Global Research, Quality, Regulatory, Purchasing, Manufacturing Development, and Commercial Manufacturing
Drive outsourcing projects and day-to-day CMO collaboration at Senior Outsourcing Manager level
Provide broader strategic leadership on complex partnerships and cross-functional decision-making at Associate Outsourcing Director level
Influence decisions, drive progress, and lead complex projects through informal leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need

Educational background as Engineer, Pharmacist, or other relevant life science degree
5–8+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or another highly regulated industry
Strong understanding of the R&D value chain, drug development processes, and Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) requirements
Experience with outsourcing, CMO/CDMO collaboration, and contract negotiations
Preferably, previous experience as a Project Manager, Alliance Manager, or in a similar role leading cross-functional collaboration
Fluency in written and spoken English
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Ability to navigate a complex interdisciplinary organisation
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
