About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead complex secondary packaging projects from initiation through implementation and successful delivery
- Lead cross-functional secondary packaging projects across the global production network
- Establish project plans, governance structures, milestones, resource requirements, and decision-making frameworks
- Coordinate activities across packaging design, engineering, production, quality, regulatory affairs, supply chain, suppliers, and other key stakeholders
- Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, and quality requirements
- Create clarity around priorities, responsibilities, decisions, and project progress
- Identify opportunities to simplify ways of working and bring packaging solutions to customers faster without compromising quality, compliance, or patient safety
- Build alignment across diverse stakeholder groups, challenge assumptions constructively, and create momentum through influence
- Collaborate with colleagues across packaging design, engineering, quality, regulatory affairs, supply chain, production sites, affiliates, suppliers, and external partners worldwide
- Occasional travel may be required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Academic degree within engineering, science, business, project management, or another relevant field
- Minimum of five years' experience leading global, cross-functional projects with end-to-end accountability
- Strong project management capabilities, including planning, governance, stakeholder management, risk management, and execution
- Experience working across multiple functions, organisational levels, production sites, and external partners
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to balance customer, business, and operational needs
- Significant experience with consumerism, customer-centricity, user-centred design, consumer experience, or outside-in thinking
- Experience from pharmaceutical manufacturing, packaging, production, or another regulated industry is useful but not essential
- Knowledge of secondary packaging processes, design control, validation, technology transfer, or lifecycle management is useful but not essential
