About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead financial planning and analysis for Nubank's Credit Card portfolio across all markets, including Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, the United States, and beyond
- Own the top-line net revenue forecast for the credit card product
- Lead a team of approximately 8–10 finance professionals
- Act as the principal finance partner to credit card leadership and a senior group of General Managers
- Change how Nubank forecasts the credit card business and rebuild underlying models
- Partner with business leaders, Investor Relations, Risk Management, and operational support functions to explain changes in the business trajectory
- Assist leaders across the company with decision-making
- Forecast, analyze, and report credit card net revenue, including drivers and Finance leadership positioning
- Define forecasting cadence, modeling standards, and the team's analytical framework
- Serve as the authority on credit card financial drivers across Finance and the business
- Shape growth, pricing, and portfolio decisions through Finance input
- Own the partnership with loss forecasting to reconcile revenue and credit views
- Build and lead the team, set the talent bar, develop the bench, and create a succession pipeline
- Explain the business upward to Finance leadership, the Management Team, executive reviews, budget cycles, and company earnings
- Prioritize team capacity across recurring cycles, improvement work, and organizational demands
- Increase team leverage through AI and automation
- Interact frequently with senior management and key internal stakeholders across a matrixed organization
- Partner closely with finance, engineering, and business teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Deep subject-matter expertise in credit cards in Brazil
- Must have worked at a bank, issuer, retail finance company, or fintech that originates and manages its own credit card portfolio
- Experience within business analysis, credit, strategic finance, or financial planning and analysis in consumer financial services
- Experience leading teams responsible for modeling and forecasting the financial outcomes of credit products
- Strong command of credit card unit economics and marginal decision-making, including net interest income and funding cost, interchange, fee income, revolving behavior, cohort and vintage analysis, and provisioning
- Experience building and improving forecasting models, not only operating them
- Fluent English
- Superior analytical rigor
- Ability to turn analysis into recommendations that senior leaders act on
- Ability to build planning processes and performance metrics linked to strategy
- People development, coaching, difficult conversations, and succession planning
- Ability to communicate with authority to senior executives
- Ability to deliver complex, cross-functional change while managing recurring cycles
- Availability to work onsite two to three days per week
- Legal authorization to work in Brazil
