About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting cycles for Nu US and Nu Global.
  • Ensure the integrity of financial numbers and Finance's position presented to leadership.
  • Build financial services P&Ls from first principles across credit, banking, and payments products.
  • Model how product, pricing, and funding decisions affect business results and Nubank's consolidated P&L.
  • Lead financial evaluation of new markets and products, including unit economics, capital and funding requirements, legal entity and licensing structures, and business cases.
  • Provide Finance expertise on cross-border money movement, including FX, funds-in and funds-out costs, card network economics, and stablecoin rails.
  • Partner with new-business leaders on pricing, product, and investment decisions.
  • Prepare clear, concise executive materials on complex topics.
  • Coach analysts, review their work, and build processes and documentation for FP&A transitions.
  • Drive AI, advanced analytics, and automation in planning and analysis while reviewing AI-generated output.
  • Lead a small team of up to three analysts as technical lead while remaining hands-on.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Business, or a related field; an advanced degree or relevant certification (e.g., CFA) is a plus.
  • Extensive experience in FP&A, strategic finance, corporate development, or business analysis in financial services, such as a bank, card issuer, payments or remittance company, or fintech.
  • Proven track record of building P&Ls and forecasting models for financial products, not only maintaining them.
  • Direct experience with international money transfer, payment networks, or stablecoins.
  • Experience presenting to and influencing senior leadership on strategic decisions.
  • Experience mentoring or leading analysts.
  • Financial services P&L mastery across credit card, lending, banking, or payments products.
  • Deep understanding of cross-border remittance economics, payment networks, and stablecoins, with working knowledge of crypto.
  • Ability to build planning processes from incomplete information and make assumptions explicit.
  • Ability to present with clarity and authority to senior executives and adapt to new information.
  • Ability to build trust-based relationships with business leaders, legal, risk, and regulatory teams and influence without formal authority.
  • Fluency in English; Portuguese or Spanish is a plus.
  • Availability to work onsite two to three days per week.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • Willingness to undergo the employer's application questions regarding visa sponsorship and relocation.
