About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver end-to-end milestones for the traffic platform from problem definition through rollout and follow-up
- Break complex problems into clear tasks and keep progress and risks visible
- Analyze technical options and trade-offs and propose pragmatic solutions balancing reliability, performance, security, and effort
- Design for failure, implement testing and observability, respond to incidents, and drive preventive follow-ups
- Collaborate with engineers, product, and partner teams to define priorities, technical plans, and milestones
- Use AI and agents to investigate issues, write and review code, explore solutions, and automate repetitive work
- Create and maintain technical documentation and runbooks
- Share knowledge through code reviews, technical sessions, pairing, and function-level initiatives
- Support engineer growth through feedback and collaboration
- Participate in support and on-call routines and use incidents, tickets, and metrics to drive platform improvements
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7 or more years of experience working in infrastructure, platform engineering, or distributed systems roles
- Experience operating large-scale, high-performance synchronous distributed systems in the cloud
- Experience with load balancers, reverse proxies, TLS/mTLS, routing, metrics, logs, and traces
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes-based infrastructure, manifests, routing and deployment strategies, and DNS configuration
- Daily use of AI tools and agents in engineering workflows, with validation of outputs and attention to quality and safety
- Experience leading end-to-end infrastructure platform projects from design through production go-live and post-rollout stabilization
- Experience with Istio, Linkerd, Envoy-based solutions, or Finagle
- Production experience with AWS networking and compute primitives, including ALB/NLB, security groups, VPC, Route 53, and IAM
- Hands-on experience with Pulumi or Terraform
- Experience building platform capabilities, shared libraries, abstractions, SDKs, or internal tooling
- Comfortable using English daily for meetings, syncs, and presentations
- Legally authorized to work in Brazil
- Available to work onsite two to three days per week
