About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver end-to-end milestones on the traffic platform from problem definition through rollout and follow-up
  • Break complex problems into clear tasks and keep progress and risks visible to stakeholders
  • Analyze ambiguous infrastructure problems and propose pragmatic solutions balancing reliability, performance, security, and effort
  • Design for failure, implement testing and observability, respond to incidents, and drive preventive follow-ups
  • Collaborate with engineers, product teams, and partners to create technical plans and milestones
  • Use AI and agents to investigate issues, write and review code, explore solutions, and automate repetitive work
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and runbooks
  • Share knowledge through reviews, sessions, and function-level initiatives
  • Support other engineers through code reviews, design discussions, pairing, and collaboration
  • Participate in support and on-call routines
  • Use incidents, tickets, and metrics to drive platform and process improvements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7 or more years of experience working in infrastructure, platform engineering, or distributed systems roles
  • Experience operating large-scale, high-performance synchronous distributed systems in the cloud
  • Hands-on experience with load balancers, reverse proxies, TLS/mTLS, routing, metrics, logs, and traces
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes-based infrastructure, manifests, routing and deployment strategies, and DNS configuration
  • Daily use of AI tools and agents in engineering workflows, with validation of outputs and attention to quality and safety
  • Experience leading end-to-end infrastructure platform projects from design through production go-live and post-rollout stabilization
  • Experience with Istio, Linkerd, Envoy-based solutions, Finagle, or other service-mesh technologies
  • Production experience with AWS networking and compute primitives, including ALB/NLB, security groups, VPC, Route 53, and IAM
  • Hands-on experience with Pulumi or Terraform
  • Experience building platform capabilities, shared libraries, abstractions, SDKs, or internal tooling
  • Comfortable using English daily for meetings, syncs, and presentations
  • Legally authorized to work in the country where the position is located
  • Available to work onsite two to three days per week
