About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build a shared platform that makes engineers and AI agents more productive
- Own developer-infrastructure roadmap pieces end to end
- Improve deployment processes with serialized, gated deploys, automated schema migrations with rollback, and staging-to-production promotion
- Build reliable local and remote development environments, sandboxes, and preview/review environments
- Develop agent-first infrastructure including MCP gateways, governance, cost management, and foundation-model selection
- Manage infrastructure-as-code, drift remediation, cloud consolidation, and IaC standards
- Establish repository standards, ownership manifests, an ownership registry, and an internal developer portal
- Build observability foundations including tracing, logging, metrics, Datadog cost and hygiene, incident management, and status pages
- Improve security and access through secrets/configuration management, SSO, IAM scoping, ECR scanning, audit logging, and vulnerability management
- Host internal AI tools through Numeric Labs
- Pair with engineers, observe onboarding, and identify developer-experience friction
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of software engineering experience, including significant time on infrastructure, platform, or developer-productivity work
- Confidence with AWS, IaC (Terraform/OpenTofu or similar), CI/CD systems, and Linux/container fundamentals
- Strong general-purpose programming skills, primarily TypeScript and Python where it fits
- Technical depth in AWS, containers/ECS, networking, and infrastructure-as-code
- Product-builder instinct for developer experience
- Nice to have: experience with Spacelift / Atlantis, Datadog / Firetiger / Chronosphere, or GitHub Actions / Buildkite
- Nice to have: experience running incident management, defining SLAs, and keeping sites up through enormous traffic
- Nice to have: experience supporting non-engineer contributors
- Must be authorized to work in the US
