About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide efficient and timely service to members via phone, mail, and facsimile
Provide basic member service transactions accurately and with quality
Consult with members, identify needs, offer solutions, and follow up on pending transactions
Recommend products and services, including ancillary products, as appropriate
Open new member accounts including savings, checking, money market, trust, certificates, and IRA accounts
Complete account cards, certificate applications and agreements, trust applications and agreements, and certificates of trust
Perform account maintenance, including address and name changes, account setup updates, joint owner and beneficiary updates, account closures, deceased account processing, and notary services
Identify and report suspicious behavior or suspected fraud activity
Complete required training and compliance modules
Support and participate in continuous improvement activities
Represent the Credit Union positively and professionally
Maintain confidentiality of member and other sensitive information
Treat co-workers and members with respect
Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

1 year retail experience with a proven track record in meeting and or exceeding service and sales goals.
Basic understanding of financial products and services
Professional verbal skills and etiquette
Competent computer knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook and Excel), remote signing and ability to work and operate a webcam
Excellent follow up
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively listen, understand, and anticipate member needs
Excellent Written skills (Email) – Grammar and Spelling
Member service and organizational skills
Work well with other departments – Team player
Genuine interest in helping members through Conversations that Matter and have an empathetic and caring nature
Willingness to make a difference
Personable and professional
High School Diploma or equivalent
