About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work with line-of-business team members on the development, maintenance, and enhancement of a product line
  • Support divisions on product-line initiatives as needed
  • Gather data from internal and external sources for complex analyses
  • Run, modify, and customize database queries across multiple data sources using Business Objects, Crystal Reports, and SAS
  • Build efficiencies for data retrieval and presentation
  • Compile and prepare production and ad hoc reports, graphs, and charts
  • Analyze issues and trends related to product and business performance
  • Build basic SAS programs for data structuring, report production, and analysis
  • Verify data accuracy and take corrective action
  • Conduct rate change analysis, create regulatory filing documentation, and assist with implementation
  • Collaborate on competitive research of new products and processes for future product and coverage development
  • Analyze business performance, experience trends, and related pricing schemes
  • Develop reporting, analysis, and business knowledge through coursework

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with related experience demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the essential functions of the position
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Suite, especially Excel
  • Ability to create, manipulate, and formulate spreadsheets and databases
  • Innovative thinking, creative problem-solving skills, and logical thought processes
  • Ability to distill, structure, and draw insight from large amounts of data
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to learn and retain new concepts, processes, and applications
