About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own the strategic and technical roadmaps and lifecycle of NZTA’s security platforms
Keep security tooling reliable, scalable and fit for purpose
Align platforms with NZTA’s digital strategy and enterprise architecture
Provide technical leadership across vendors and managed services in a multi-cloud environment
Make platform investment decisions based on cost, risk and value
Use automation and AI to reduce manual effort across platforms
Deliver platform improvements iteratively using agile ways of working
Lead critical security capabilities supporting NZTA, a nationally significant organisation

Requirements

What you’ll need

Significant experience owning enterprise platforms in complex, hybrid cloud organisations
A track record of developing and delivering platform roadmaps and strategic plans
Experience working across multi-vendor, multi-cloud and managed service environments
Knowledge of enterprise architecture principles and platform governance
Ability to build trusted relationships and influence senior stakeholders
Experience leading, mentoring and developing technical capability
Strong programme delivery, coordination and problem-solving capability
Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience
Knowledge of, or willingness to gain an understanding of, Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori
Knowledge of, or willingness to gain an appreciation of, Te Tiriti o Waitangi as it applies in the public sector
Legal right to live and work in New Zealand
