About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Accurately enter, code, and process vendor invoices for multiple office locations
- Serve as a primary accounting contact for the Firm’s California offices
- Prepare and process daily check runs and other vendor payments
- Reconcile vendor accounts and research and resolve discrepancies
- Review invoices for appropriate supporting documentation and approvals
- Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from vendors, attorneys, and firm personnel
- Assist with vendor account maintenance and other accounts payable functions
- Maintain accurate and organized accounting records
- Assist with special accounting projects and other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least two years of accounts payable or accounting experience
- Prior law firm or professional services experience preferred
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with attorneys, staff, vendors, and members of the accounting team
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with discretion
- Dependable, proactive, and willing to take ownership of assigned responsibilities
