About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Complete the Health Services Director in Training program
  • Receive training from department heads at the community level
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of managing a team as a Health Services Director
  • Complete department training and gain on-the-job experience under a current Health Services Director
  • Participate in customized leadership training
  • Travel throughout California during the training process
  • Complete the anticipated three-month program, depending on prior experience
  • Transition after program completion into a Health Services Director, other community management, new-property management, or floating Health Services Director assignment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Oakmont candidates must have a minimum of six months in their current position
  • Prefer two (2) years’ experience as a Licensed Nurse
  • Prefer one (1) year’s experience working in a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE)
  • California LVN or RN License in good standing required
  • Must be willing to travel throughout the state during the training process
  • Must be open to relocation for a permanent position
  • Demonstrated interest in clinical leadership
  • Prior experience coaching or mentoring peers preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Passion for serving older adults
  • Able to work with seniors and patiently interact with cognitively impaired individuals
  • Proficient in basic computer systems
  • Ability to learn electronic health records and other Company tools
  • Able to read, write, and speak English to interact and communicate effectively with residents, families, and coworkers
  • Able to adapt and respond to change, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
  • Must be coachable, highly motivated, and able to work independently and collaboratively
  • Able to obtain and maintain valid First Aid and CPR, as needed
  • Must pass a Criminal Background Check and Health Screening tests
