About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Complete the Health Services Director in Training program
- Receive training from department heads at the community level
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of managing a team as a Health Services Director
- Complete department training and gain on-the-job experience under a current Health Services Director
- Travel throughout the state during the training process
- Transition after program completion into a Health Services Director, vacant management role, new-property management role, or Floating Health Services Director assignment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Oakmont candidates must have a minimum of six months in their current position
- Two (2) years’ experience as a Licensed Nurse preferred
- One (1) year’s experience working in a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) preferred
- California LVN or RN License in good standing required
- Must be willing to travel throughout the state during the training process
- Must be open to relocation for a permanent position
- Demonstrated interest in clinical leadership
- Prior experience coaching or mentoring peers preferred
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Passion for serving older adults
- Able to work with seniors and patiently interact with cognitively impaired individuals
- Proficient in basic computer systems and able to learn electronic health records and other Company tools
- Able to read, write, and speak English to interact and communicate effectively with residents, families, and coworkers
- Able to adapt and respond to change, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
- Must be coachable, highly motivated, and able to work independently and collaboratively
- Able to obtain and maintain valid First Aid and CPR, as needed
- Must pass a Criminal Background Check and Health Screening tests
