About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Complete the Health Services Director in Training program
- Receive training from department heads at the community level
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of managing a team as a Health Services Director
- Complete department training and gain on-the-job experience under a current Health Services Director
- Work without filling a budgeted position during the training program
- Complete an anticipated three-month program, depending on prior experience
- Potentially assume a Health Services Director position at an Oakmont community after program completion
- Potentially assume a vacant management role, a management position in a new property, or a Floating Health Services Director assignment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Oakmont candidates must have a minimum of six months in their current position
- Prefer two (2) years’ experience as a Licensed Nurse
- Prefer one (1) year’s experience working in a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE)
- Must have a California LVN or RN License in good standing
- Must be willing to travel throughout the state during the training process
- Must be open to relocation for a permanent position
- Demonstrated interest in clinical leadership
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Passion for serving older adults
- Able to work with seniors and patiently interact with cognitively impaired individuals
- Proficient in basic computer systems and able to learn electronic health records and other Company tools
- Able to read, write, and speak English to communicate effectively with residents, families, and coworkers
- Able to adapt and respond to change, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
- Must be coachable and highly motivated
- Able to work independently and collaboratively
- Able to obtain and maintain valid First Aid and CPR, as needed
- Must pass a Criminal Background Check and Health Screening tests
