About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support senior living communities throughout Southern California
- Serve as a Maintenance Director in the absence of a community’s Maintenance Director
- Plan, organize, develop, perform, and direct general operating maintenance, repair, and housekeeping of the physical plant and the interior and exterior of the community
- Maintain proper operations of the property
- Oversee the general operations of the maintenance and housekeeping departments
- Ensure the property is maintained in a safe, clean, and comfortable manner according to property policies and procedures
- Hire, evaluate, coordinate, motivate, monitor performance, schedule, and supervise department staff
- Make recommendations to the Executive Director regarding staff evaluations, merit pay increases, reprimands, disciplinary actions, and terminations
- Travel to assigned communities based on need and priority
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Prefer minimum two (2) years’ experience in residential maintenance and/or housekeeping handling the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of electrical, plumbing and structural matters
- Knowledge of building construction
- Knowledge of budgeting and expense management
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance software
- Basic computer skills
- Prefer at least one (1) year experience supervising and managing employees
- Ideal candidate will reside in the Riverside/IE market
- Flexibility and availability required for assignments that may be extended and frequently change
- Up to 95% travel required
