About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create a long-term thought-leadership vision for Albertsons and Oatly’s role in its stores
- Deliver annual sales volume, market share growth, positive ROI, and profitability targets
- Act as the main point of contact with Albertsons corporate and divisions
- Build relationships with National Category Directors, Assistant Category Managers, and division merchandising teams
- Leverage top-to-top meetings where appropriate
- Collaborate with Customer Service, Commercial Operations, Category Management, Demand Planning, and Shopper Marketing
- Partner with the broker team to execute retail sales strategy across Albertsons divisions
- Guide promotion, shopper, and support plans using Albertsons programming knowledge
- Analyze results and adjust plans
- Establish regular internal and customer insight-sharing cadence
- Participate in annual planning and present customer plans to sales leadership
- Manage demand and shipment forecasts, promotional/trade management plans, and shopper marketing activities
- Curate fact-based selling stories using Shopper 360, syndicated data, and other selling resources
- Present at national and division category reviews to sell in innovation and close voids
- Participate in trade shows, sales, and customer events
- Share best practices and collaborate with the retail sales team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum of 7+ years in retail sales in the CPG industry
- Ideally, experience in a sales position on Albertsons business in the last 2 years with extensive experience working directly with the corporate team and divisions
- Solid understanding of multiple distribution methods to get to Albertsons – direct, Kehe, and C&S
- Category management mindset and expertise using syndicated data sources (SPINS, Nielsen, IRI) and customer-specific data
- Excellent organizational and communication (written, verbal, and virtual) skills with close attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively while thriving in a remote environment
- Strong leadership, team-oriented, and influencing skills
- Proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel; data-savvy sales expertise
- Thorough understanding of trade math, promotional planning, and forecasting rationale
- Problem-solving skills and ability to bring creative and tactful solutions
- Willingness to travel for customer meetings and stores
- Must reside within a reasonable distance of an Albertsons division
- Connection to Oatly’s mission of health, sustainability, and transparency
- Self-starter able to work with individual accountability and ownership
- Entrepreneurial spirit and comfort with ambiguity
- Willingness to share talents and quirkiness with coworkers
