About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide warranty and customer service to dealers and consumers
- Receive, evaluate, repair or replace, and process warranty returns
- Communicate with warranty customers and retailers through Zendesk, phone, email, and in person
- Ship and process warranty parts orders
- Track and report warranty trends and replacement part needs
- Contribute technical expertise to product retrofit or inspection projects, including possible independent travel to the warehouse
- Serve as an internal technical resource for customer service and sales teams
- Maintain an organized and clean warranty area
- Suggest and implement process and capability improvements
- Minimize warranty costs while maintaining high service levels
- Build and maintain winter and summer demo fleets, including ordering, mounting, marking, preparation, shipment, and returns
- Answer high-volume Zendesk tickets, emails, and phone calls
- Answer questions about products, brands, and the company
- Process consumer and professional purchase orders and returns in the ERP system
- Release orders to the warehouse for shipment
- Coordinate with Accounting, Ecommerce, warehouse, Sales, Operations, and other departments to resolve order and return issues
- Support pro purchase programs and shipping tasks
- Proactively resolve customer problems
- Execute assigned projects and tasks
- Attend and assist at tradeshows, sales meetings, sample sales, and other events
- Learn, present, and serve as a technical expert on Dynafit, Salewa, Pomoca, Wild Country, and Evolv brands and products
- Demonstrate proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Navision ERP
- Communicate frequently with customers, sales representatives, sales management, accounting, warehouse, and operational divisions
- Report to the Customer Service Manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- Two to four years of customer service and/or retail experience, preferably in the ski or outdoor industries
- Experience as a ski technician is a plus
- Ability to understand the mechanical aspects and parts of products and fix them completely and satisfactorily
- Specific hands-on experience servicing and repairing ski boots and bindings is required
- Proficient in mounting ski bindings to skis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to establish strong professional working relationships
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and make sound decisions
- Effective time management, prioritization, and self-motivation
- Strong organizational and computer skills, including Microsoft Office and general computer proficiency
- Passion for success, positive attitude, problem-solving ability, and strong work ethic
- Flexibility and willingness to help in a team environment
- Love of the outdoors; passion for mountain sports is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Some ERP or equivalent experience preferred
