About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute the enablement strategy by designing modern blended learning frameworks, manager playbooks, and operational toolkits
- Use AI workflows to produce scalable micro-learning content
- Decide between in-house production and targeted external partners
- Partner with the People Team and functional leaders to identify skill gaps from talent calibration and operational data
- Translate insights into capability frameworks for Commercial, Customer, and Operations teams
- Feed programme outputs into succession planning and high-potential talent pathways
- Own capability journeys for line managers and emerging leaders
- Design and launch lifecycle-based training on performance management, policies, and difficult conversations
- Build plug-and-play playbooks for People Partners and managers
- Develop cross-functional skills programmes aligned to the Career Framework
- Embed Ocado Retail values and inclusive leadership
- Facilitate new manager bootcamps, feedback workshops, leadership modules, and other organisational initiatives
- Deliver learning through workshops, webinars, on-the-job learning, digital modules, guides, and videos
- Track adoption, behaviour change, and business impact
- Iterate programmes based on evaluation data and learner feedback
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience as a consultative L&D Partner working alongside Centres of Excellence and business leaders
- Experience diagnosing capability gaps and strategically prioritising initiatives
- Sound commercial judgement balancing in-house learning design with targeted external partners
- Hands-on expertise designing blended learning journeys, manager playbooks, and operational toolkits
- Experience developing, embedding, or operationalising career frameworks and skill architectures
- Exceptional facilitation skills
- Confidence and executive presence to lead manager training, leadership workshops, and team effectiveness off-sites across all organisational levels
- Curiosity about modern trends and technology
- Practical experience leveraging AI tools such as Google Gemini and Claude
- Ability to create content, scenario simulations, and learning assets using AI
- Adaptability in fast-paced environments
- Passion for inclusion and modelling Ocado Retail values
