About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead strategic projects using project management, change management, and process improvement capabilities
  • Manage projects through the full lifecycle, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, control, and closure
  • Develop and execute communications strategies with project stakeholders and the department
  • Serve as instructor for strategic program management training programs
  • Coach and consult with Ochsner leaders using project management, change management, and process improvement capabilities
  • Maintain compliance with applicable laws, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Comply with Ochsner Health System compliance, privacy, safety, and standards-of-conduct programs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, finance, public health, health care administration or related field
  • 5 years experience in a relevant field, including 1 year project management, change management, process improvement, or healthcare experience; OR 3 years relevant experience with a Master's degree
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of data analytics
  • Computer skills and dexterity for data entry and information retrieval
  • Proficiency with Windows-style applications and role-specific software
  • Ability to travel throughout and between facilities
  • Preferred: Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification or equivalent, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and/or Black Belt, or Master Change Agent
  • Preferred: 5 years of RN experience
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in Engineering, business administration, finance, public health, health care administration or related field
