About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage all stages of the business intelligence cycle, from understanding business objectives through deployment and documentation
- Collect business requirements and translate them into data requirements
- Design and develop reports and dashboards, including code and visualization
- Schedule and deploy business intelligence components according to standards and best practices
- Collaborate with business and technology departments to understand system data and its use
- Perform data analysis and validation and provide support for data integration
- Monitor production systems, resolve issues, or escalate them when necessary
- Develop logical modeling and presentation solutions within business intelligence environments
- Work with business stakeholders to develop analytical solutions that improve business operations
- Maintain and develop process and procedure documentation
- Manage data according to best practices
- Support and monitor business intelligence systems and processes
- Administer business intelligence servers and/or processes
- Remain knowledgeable about applicable laws, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements and ensure compliance
- Report known or suspected unethical, safety, privacy, or compliance-related concerns
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems (MIS), business, or related field
- 1 year of experience with SQL programming, data analysis and profiling, relational database systems, reporting, dashboards, and business intelligence systems
- 1 year of experience as a business analyst, collaborating with end users to define metrics and business requirements
- Preferred: 1 year of experience with Oracle, SQL programming, and data analysis and profiling
- Preferred: 1 year of experience with data visualization using Tableau, Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition, and/or Crystal Reports
- Preferred: 1 year of healthcare experience
- Healthcare analytics and/or Revenue Cycle experience
- Epic Revenue, Access, Clinical, or Clarity Data Model certification preferred, or strong interest in obtaining certification
- Experience with Sigma Computing, Tableau, or similar analytics platforms
- Strong Snowflake and enterprise data modeling experience
- Ability to design and maintain semantic layers, data marts, and business-friendly data models
- Advanced SQL skills, including reviewing and troubleshooting complex logic
- Ability to trace data lineage from source systems through reporting layers
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills focused on business outcomes
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to solve operational and strategic challenges
- Python, APIs, and analytics automation experience is a plus
- Ability to work independently and lead enhancement initiatives
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- SQL and data analysis skills
- Computer skills and dexterity for data entry and retrieval of patient information
- Proficiency with Windows-style applications and keyboard
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Effective critical thinking and analytical skills
- Knowledge of reporting and business intelligence concepts
- Ability to collaborate with end users to define metrics and business requirements
