  • Deliver occupational therapy treatment autonomously through referral or direct to consumer
  • Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Assess patient responses to treatment and recommend treatment plan changes
  • Monitor progress toward treatment goals
  • Maintain patient records according to documentation standards, policies, and procedures
  • Attain established productivity levels related to access to care, patient experience, and quality
  • Assist in program development and enhancement to meet patient and community needs

  • Remain knowledgeable about and comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy
  • Current occupational therapy license in the state of practice, eligibility for licensure by examination, or reciprocity from another state
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
  • Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain flexible with fluctuating schedules based on patient demand
  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of Very Heavy Work, including exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly
  • Ability to work in a patient care environment with occupational exposure risks involving blood, body fluids, tissue, communicable diseases, hazardous medications, and hazardous waste
