About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Identify and drive new processes to remove repetitive tasks and create efficiencies
Understand business needs and implement automation using AI as appropriate
Perform reconciliations and promptly resolve variances
Prepare month-end reporting, including journals and financial analysis
Track and report on vehicles purchased weekly with business stakeholders
Work closely with Finance Operations to resolve reconciliation issues
Manage creditor and debtor ledgers and handle payment or receipt queries
Support scalable improvement and automation of financial processes
Improve asset and asset-financing reconciliations, balance-sheet accuracy, bank posting, and operational accounting processes
Analyze variances and partner with the team, wider business, and funders to diagnose root causes and implement lasting fixes

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience working in a Finance team
Experience using accounting software and data tools; Netsuite preferred
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
Advanced Excel skills
Strong communication skills
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Proactive attitude towards work
Experience in a scale-up, high-transaction environment with evolving needs
