About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage and execute end-to-end onboarding for brokers, aggregators, and digital partners onto the Octopus platform.
  • Handle administrative setup, rate sheets/EFL coordination, and API technical onboarding with Product and Engineering.
  • Serve as the primary operational contact for active commercial partners.
  • Answer integration queries, resolve statement discrepancies, and deliver a high-quality partner experience.
  • Translate commercial deal structures into commission logic for Data Engineering.
  • Audit monthly Databricks payout runs before sending clean files to Finance.
  • Build and maintain daily conversion reporting and dashboards using Databricks Genie.
  • Track funnel health and identify enrollment drop-offs.
  • Channel partner insights, API bugs, and operational friction points to Product, Data, and Engineering.
  • Troubleshoot stuck customer orders with Retail Operations and optimize customer flow to active supply.
  • Automate weekly and monthly enrollment, conversion, and commission statements for external partners.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Comfortable working with data in SQL and directly within the Databricks UI and Databricks Genie ecosystem to query datasets, build reports, and audit numbers.
  • Solid grasp of Texas retail electric market mechanics, TDSPs, ESI IDs, and customer switch workflows.
  • Ability to clearly explain technical processes, manage project timelines, and professionally interact with commercial business contacts.
  • Strong attention to detail across commercial contracts, commission calculations, and onboarding workflows.
  • Hands-on experience leveraging the Gemini AI suite and Claude Code to accelerate SQL query writing, analyze data anomalies, automate operational workflows, and build documentation, with validation of outputs.
  • Comfortable operating autonomously through fast growth with light supervision, and raising issues when stuck.
  • Prior experience in a Partner Operations, Revenue Operations, Commercial Analytics, or Account Management role at a Retail Electric Provider or energy tech company is a bonus.
  • Direct experience with retail energy commission structures, settlements, or billing exception logic is a bonus.
  • Experience automating broken or manual reporting processes is a bonus.
