About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and execute account strategy, including contracting when appropriate, with overall responsibility for customer engagement across Retina Consultants of America
  • Support launch planning for current and future products by developing product access strategies and tactics
  • Identify competitive threats and develop response strategies to ensure continued and optimal access and product utilization
  • Maintain knowledge of RCA and the broader retina provider landscape to contribute to Market Access strategy
  • Develop strategic solutions and implement account plans tied to measurable access, financial, and operational outcomes
  • Establish accountability through QBRs, performance management, and data-driven insights
  • Own account GTN performance across OID, data, and service contracts, ensuring disciplined financial management and optimization
  • Establish and maintain senior-level relationships with key decision-makers across C-suite, pharmacy leadership, trade relations, and clinical management
  • Serve as the primary customer-facing lead for RCA, addressing access, pricing, contracting, and business needs
  • Execute contract evaluation, GTN management, and negotiations across product portfolios
  • Seek partnership opportunities through customer planning to achieve company and account goals
  • Collaborate across Market Access, Sales, Marketing, and Medical Affairs to develop coordinated account plans
  • Provide subject matter expertise on RCA dynamics
  • Leverage customer and cross-functional insights to refine go-to-market strategy, launch planning, and child account pull-through efforts
  • Support field teams with tools, insights, and RCA-specific strategies to enhance provider pull-through

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 7+ years of experience in pharmaceutical key account management or similar role
  • Ideal candidate has retina experience and will be able to leverage existing relationships with individuals in leadership and purchasing decision-making roles at RCA
  • Proven track record of building relationships with C-suite executives of GPOs, MSOs or large provider networks
  • Must have deep familiarity with contracting and account management of large provider networks
  • Strong communication, influencing, and relationship management skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in a cross-functional, matrixed environment
  • Ability to travel up to 70%
