About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Foster growth for company products within GPOs, PE-backed MSOs, and large IDN or ASC-owned practices designated as strategic provider accounts
  • Build a team of corporate account directors to develop relationships with key Retina corporate account stakeholders in preparation for a successful launch
  • Oversee the existing DEXTENZA corporate account team and develop strategies to improve account management
  • Inform and improve contracting strategy and drive performance management with corporate accounts
  • Own segmentation and prioritization of corporate accounts
  • Develop a consistent approach to managing corporate accounts across the Ocular Therapeutix portfolio
  • Monitor provider landscape changes and adjust account prioritization
  • Align go-to-market strategy with company objectives, growth targets, and broader commercial strategy
  • Identify innovative contract solutions, structures, and services
  • Partner with Pricing & Contracting and Access Strategy & Payer Engagement
  • Oversee negotiation and execution of GPO and corporate account agreements
  • Engage C-suite executives and own relationships at priority corporate accounts
  • Provide strategic and operational oversight of the DEXTENZA corporate accounts team
  • Recruit, coach, and develop a field-based Retina-focused GPO and corporate account director team
  • Define account management processes, engagement cadence, QBRs, KPIs, dashboards, and escalation pathways
  • Oversee cross-functional coordination to implement field-level account strategies
  • Provide subject matter expertise for Trade & Distribution and Go-to-Market strategies
  • Collaborate across Market Access, Sales, Marketing, and Medical Affairs
  • Partner with Commercial Analytics to develop performance-management data infrastructure

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 15+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech GPO or key account management
  • Minimum 8+ years in a management or leadership role of people or function
  • Minimum 5+ years with direct experience negotiating GPO membership and MSO contracts in a buy-and-bill environment
  • Proven track record of building relationships with C-suite executives of GPOs or PE-backed MSOs
  • Must have deep familiarity with contracting mechanics of GPOs and PE-backed MSOs
  • Experienced in building field-based teams from the ground up and scaling capabilities for growth
  • Excellent cross-functional leadership, collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
