About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify, qualify, prospect, and close new business opportunities within an assigned local market territory
- Acquire small to mid-sized organizational customers across the assigned vertical or segment
- Build a robust sales pipeline through prospecting, networking, relationship development, and cold calling
- Position ODP Business Solutions' products, services, and solutions to maximize customer value and market penetration
- Conduct in-person meetings, networking events, referrals, and cold-calling efforts with decision makers, influencers, end users, and buyers
- Use customer profiles, business needs assessments, and strategic pricing programs to secure new customer partnerships and profitable revenue growth
- Build and expand customer relationships using consultative selling and industry knowledge
- Analyze the local market, assigned industries, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities
- Forecast business activity, maintain an active sales pipeline, and achieve or exceed sales and revenue objectives
- Collaborate with implementation, sales support, product specialists, internal partners, and subject matter experts
- Own territory planning, business development strategies, and sales initiative execution
- Maintain accurate customer, prospect, activity, and pipeline data in Salesforce and other sales systems
- Support forecasting, reporting, account planning, data integrity, customer issue resolution, and long-term account success
- Share best practices and provide customer requirements, market insights, and selling strategy guidance
- Provide management with updates and reports on account activities, sales forecasts, and client feedback
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Demonstrated relationship building, negotiation, and closing skills
- Experience or aptitude in consultative selling, needs analysis, and solution recommendation
- Ability to work in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and adapting to change
- Experience working in a team environment and collaborating to achieve shared goals
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge of CRM tools such as Salesforce.com preferred
- Ability to learn and use internal systems, sales tools, and reporting platforms
- Ability to achieve monthly sales and revenue goals
- Ability to conduct consultative analyses and provide tailored product and solution recommendations
- Ability to develop long-term client relationships supporting renewals, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities
- Experience or comfort securing and conducting face-to-face meetings with key decision makers
- Ability to build a network through sales calls, customer visits, industry events, and internal referrals
- Comfort with cold calling and initiating contact with new prospects
- Effective written and spoken English communication skills
- Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
- Strong time management, organizational, and follow-up skills
- Ability to maintain and update CRM databases
- Ability to meet or exceed assigned revenue goals and sales quotas
- Ability to regularly travel within the assigned territory
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Valid driver's license and driving record in good standing
- Ability to provide regular updates and reports to management
