About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work with the Category Merchant to manage and execute daily merchandising tasks
- Manage vendor funding and monitor market behavior and category performance
- Execute operational merchandising activities within the assigned category
- Analyze, plan, and execute processes to achieve sales and margin goals
- Plan promotional cadence and evaluate SKU-level promotional performance with vendors
- Provide business trends and adjustments to the overall business
- Forecast SKU-level inventory needs based on previous sales trends
- Support assortment and promotional planning, vendor negotiation, inventory sell-through, and financial management
- Attend vendor meetings, provide business updates, and communicate business asks
- Analyze promotional and product data for forecasting, budgeting, assortments, line reviews, vendor scorecards, pricing, and ad hoc reporting
- Communicate new, promotional, and discontinued item setup information
- Work with Marketing and Ecommerce cross-functional partners to execute SKU-level strategy
- Build vendor relationships through product and industry pricing knowledge
- Support the Merchandising team with additional tasks as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 2 years of experience
- Business Administration, Marketing, or Merchandising background
