About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and implement regional and national maintenance strategies with senior management
  • Define, schedule, and oversee planned preventative maintenance programs
  • Support timely resolution of reactive maintenance issues to minimize downtime
  • Provide training, mentorship, and technical guidance to maintenance managers and teams
  • Develop and manage vendor relationships and national parts supply agreements
  • Develop, implement, and enforce maintenance standard operating procedures
  • Monitor breakdowns and maintenance trends to drive corrective actions and proactive risk mitigation
  • Lead engineering and maintenance projects
  • Collaborate on annual operating plans
  • Analyze maintenance expenses and implement cost-saving opportunities
  • Act as the primary link between Supply Chain Operations and site maintenance teams
  • Advance engineering excellence and operational reliability across distribution centers and cross-docks

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Study in logistics, mechanical engineering, or industrial engineering
  • Minimum 7 years of experience
  • 7+ years of experience with conveyor systems and/or warehouse automation
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronic, PLC, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Microsoft Suite proficiency, with a strong focus on Excel and Access
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing
  • Line-level operations experience and experience running high-volume, highly mechanized/automated distribution facilities preferred
  • Strategic influencing, people-management, oral and written communication, leadership, interpersonal, cognitive, occupational, and troubleshooting skills
  • Self-starter, dedicated, quick learner, efficient leader, and coach
