About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Acquire new mid-market customers and expand relationships with existing accounts within the assigned geography
- Conduct outside sales to organizations with approximately 50–1,000 white-collar employees
- Target companies with up to $1.5M in annual purchasing potential
- Identify and capture additional revenue opportunities across products and services
- Conduct consultative discussions and recommend tailored solutions
- Prospect, engage, and close new customers through meetings, networking, and cold calling
- Manage and service current account spend to support satisfaction and retention
- Partner with customer service, sales support, and internal teams to resolve issues
- Plan territories and execute business development and sales initiatives
- Maintain customer, activity, and pipeline data in the CRM
- Support forecasting, reporting, and account planning
- Share selling best practices and contribute to coworker development and training
- Collaborate cross-functionally on account strategies and results
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Demonstrated relationship building, negotiation, and closing skills
- Experience or aptitude in consultative selling, needs analysis, and solution recommendation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge of CRM tools such as Salesforce.com preferred
- Effective written and spoken English communication skills
- Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
- Strong time management, organizational, and follow-up skills
- Ability to maintain and update CRM databases
- Proven ability to meet or exceed assigned revenue goals and sales quotas
- Ability to regularly travel within the assigned territory
- Valid driver’s license and a driving record in good standing
- Ability to work at least 30 hours per week outside the office in the designated territory
- Related sales, customer service, or business development experience preferred
