About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Acquire new mid-market customers and expand existing account relationships in the assigned geography
  • Conduct outside sales to organizations with approximately 50–1,000 white-collar employees
  • Position ODP Business products, services, and solutions to maximize account growth and market penetration
  • Spend time in person with existing customers to identify additional revenue opportunities
  • Conduct consultative discussions, propose tailored solutions, and drive account penetration and share of wallet
  • Identify, prospect, and close new mid-market customers through in-person meetings, networking, and cold calling
  • Spend a minimum of 30 hours per week outside the office working in the designated territory
  • Manage current account spend to support customer satisfaction and retention
  • Partner with customer service, sales support, and internal teams to resolve issues
  • Plan the territory, develop business strategies, and execute sales initiatives
  • Maintain accurate customer, activity, and pipeline information in ODP’s CRM
  • Support forecasting, reporting, account planning, and data integrity
  • Share selling best practices and support peer learning and coworker training
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on account strategies and issue resolution

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience
  • Demonstrated relationship building, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Experience or aptitude in consultative selling, needs analysis, and solution recommendation
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Experience working in a team environment and collaborating to achieve shared goals
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to learn and effectively use internal systems, sales tools, and reporting platforms
  • Ability to achieve monthly sales and revenue goals
  • Ability to conduct consultative customer analyses and provide tailored recommendations
  • Ability to develop long-term client relationships supporting renewals, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities
  • Comfort securing and conducting face-to-face meetings with key decision makers
  • Ability to build a network through sales calls, customer visits, industry events, and internal referrals
  • Comfort with cold calling and initiating contact with new prospects
  • Effective written and spoken English communication skills
