About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Acquire new mid-market customers and expand relationships with existing accounts within the assigned geography
  • Conduct outside sales for organizations with approximately 50–1,000 white-collar employees
  • Position ODP Business products, services, and solutions to maximize account growth and market penetration
  • Target companies with up to $1.5M in annual purchasing potential
  • Build relationships with key decision makers and influencers through networking, relationship development, and cold calling
  • Identify and capture additional revenue opportunities across product categories and services for existing customers
  • Conduct consultative discussions, propose tailored solutions, and drive account penetration and share of wallet
  • Identify, prospect, and close new mid-market customers through in-person meetings, networking events, and cold calling
  • Spend a minimum of 30 hours per week outside the office and actively working in the designated territory
  • Manage and service current spend within assigned accounts to support customer satisfaction and retention
  • Partner with customer service, sales support, and internal teams to resolve issues and maintain relationships
  • Plan territories, develop business strategies, and execute sales initiatives
  • Maintain accurate customer, activity, and pipeline information in ODP’s CRM for forecasting, reporting, and account planning
  • Act as a subject matter resource on customer requirements and selling strategies
  • Share best practices, support peer learning, and contribute to coworker development and training
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align account strategies and drive results
  • Provide management with updates and reports on account activities, sales forecasts, and client feedback

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience
  • Demonstrated relationship building, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Experience or aptitude in consultative selling, needs analysis, and solution recommendation
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Experience working in a team environment and collaborating to achieve shared goals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Working knowledge of CRM tools such as Salesforce.com preferred
  • Ability to learn and effectively use internal systems, sales tools, and reporting platforms
  • Ability to achieve monthly sales and revenue goals
  • Ability to conduct consultative customer analyses and provide tailored recommendations
  • Ability to develop long-term client relationships supporting renewals, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities
  • Experience or comfort securing and conducting face-to-face meetings with key decision makers
  • Ability to build an expansive network through sales calls, customer visits, industry events, and internal referrals
  • Comfort with cold calling and initiating contact with new prospects
  • Effective written and spoken English communication skills
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management, organizational, and follow-up skills
  • Ability to maintain and update CRM databases
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed assigned revenue goals and sales quotas
