About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own HRIS (Rippling) administration, including configuration, integrations, data integrity, employee records, and people metrics reporting
- Manage benefits programs, renewals, open enrollment, employee changes, vendors, broker, 401(k) administrator, and leaves of absence
- Maintain multi-state employment compliance, including registrations, I-9s, EEO and state filings, ACA reporting, workers compensation, unemployment claims, and compliance calendar
- Run performance review and promotion cycles, including timelines, system setup, communications, and calibration materials
- Design and run onboarding and off-boarding programs with the Head of Operations and recruiting
- Maintain employee handbook and people policies; document, roll out, and communicate policy updates
- Propose and run culture, engagement, recognition, and employee-feedback programs
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee HR questions and support the People function's growth
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4-7 years of progressive HR or people operations experience, including at least 3 years in a HR generalist role
- HRIS system administration experience, including implementation or migration, workflow configuration, performance cycles, integrations, audit, and reporting
- Familiarity with Rippling strongly preferred
- Direct administration of employee benefits, including annual renewals, open enrollment, carrier and broker management, 401(k) administration, and leave coordination
- Working knowledge of federal and state employment regulations for a multi-state employer, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, ACA, I-9 and E-Verify, EEO reporting, and state-specific leave and notice requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Comfort operating without a playbook

- Experience at a high-growth company of 50 to 200 employees (bonus)
- Experience as the first or sole HR resource (bonus)
- Familiarity with supporting a distributed or international workforce (bonus)
