About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee accounts payable, employee expenses, and procurement workflows in Ramp
Streamline transaction coding, approvals, documentation, and exception tracking using automation
Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and assigned month-end close schedules
Use AI-enabled tools to identify discrepancies and accelerate analysis
Own assigned bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations in NetSuite
Resolve reconciliation differences and validate balances
Partner with stakeholders to resolve vendor onboarding, purchasing, approval, and contract renewal exceptions
Support fixed asset, depreciation, and lease accounting schedules
Maintain documentation and supporting schedules for audit readiness
Help prepare audit requests, sales tax filings, and annual 1099 reporting
Identify repetitive accounting tasks and implement reliable AI-powered automation with human review
Investigate unusual transactions and recommend improvements to financial accuracy and operational efficiency
Report to the Controller and contribute to a lean, high-performing accounting team

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
2+ years of experience in corporate or public accounting
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, including accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and balance sheet reconciliations
Experience with accounting systems and financial workflows
NetSuite and Ramp experience are preferred
Practical AI fluency, including using AI tools for research, information organization, exception analysis, and repeatable workflows while checking outputs for accuracy
AI workflow orchestration skills, including process decomposition, automation assessment, and human review for judgment and financial controls
Strong analytical judgment and attention to detail
Proactive, collaborative approach and clear communication
Curiosity, adaptability, and drive to improve
SaaS or multi-entity accounting experience is a plus
