About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the primary interface between the business and technology services.
  • Align business partner needs with technology services and work with business leaders and key contributors to understand priorities and capture business demand.
  • Translate business demand into actionable work for project delivery teams.
  • Facilitate ongoing technology innovation and act as the IT business partner for product delivery teams.
  • Work with enterprise architecture and IT governance teams to ensure projects follow appropriate standards and practices.
  • Develop and champion product vision, strategy, and roadmap for a product within a product area.
  • Develop product roadmaps with stakeholders aligned to organizational and business-line objectives.
  • Communicate product vision to product owners and development teams and guide delivery against the vision.
  • Drive product lifecycle processes, including research, competitive analysis, planning, requirements development, and product delivery.
  • Assess user experience delivered by product features.
  • Establish KPIs and goals, track results, and evaluate success or failure.
  • Build stakeholder relationships, identify business needs, implement processes and practices, and monitor progress and results.
  • Understand and articulate the overall portfolio vision.
  • Solve business needs through technical applications.
  • Make technical delivery approach decisions on moderately to highly complex issues with minimal direction.
  • Address product effectiveness and manage customer perceptions of deficiencies.
  • Own the product portfolio and contribute to continuous improvement of product lifecycle initiatives.
  • Gather and articulate project requirements with stakeholders.
  • Evaluate electric utility industry trends, legal and regulatory conditions, competitive products, and marketplace technology changes.
  • Balance stakeholder needs with cost and benefit considerations.
  • Influence department strategy based on existing and future technology assets.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in MIS or related field and 4 years of experience managing or leading projects, product ownership, or performing similar work; Or High School Diploma/GED and 7 years of experience managing or leading projects, product ownership, or performing similar work.
  • 3+ years of experience working with or leading an enterprise ServiceNow platform, including roadmap development, demand management, governance, stakeholder engagement, and delivery of platform enhancements.
  • Experience supporting ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HAM, SAM, HRSD, CSM, SPM, or Service Portal.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or other ServiceNow certifications.
  • Experience working in Agile product delivery environments and managing ServiceNow backlogs and releases.
  • Ability to understand complex problems, develop solutions, and take appropriate actions towards a resolution.
  • Ability to think strategically as well as tactically.
  • General knowledge of IT projects, including business cases, approvals, budgeting, project management, waterfall and agile methodologies, analysis, design, build, testing, quality assurance, operations, service levels, and contracts.
  • Ability to influence and build trust at all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Skilled at developing proposals with a significant services component and business cases.
  • Excellent public speaking, presentation, and meeting facilitation skills.
