About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partners with Business Leaders to analyze priorities, capture business demands, and translate them into meaningful actions for the Product delivery team
  • Advises and recommends relevant products, solutions, procedural changes, and evaluates results
  • Supervises daily activities of the team and sets priorities for task or process completion
  • Defines, tracks, and communicates key performance indicators with the project manager
  • Defines, leads, and manages the product line life cycle with business sponsors, stakeholders, and product owners
  • Identifies opportunities for new or expanded products and services, functionality enhancements, and other modifications
  • Manages strategic direction within budget parameters and strategic themes
  • Translates Epics into Features, manages and prioritizes work flow and program backlog
  • Clarifies requirements and makes commitments for phases, iterations, or sprints
  • Defines Features, determines success criteria, and validates solutions based on customer needs
  • Identifies product issues and facilitates corrective actions, including prioritization, delegation, and follow-up audits
  • Develops market and competitor trend knowledge to position the business unit for success
  • Reviews strategies and target markets, develops value propositions, and recommends account and segment plans
  • Manages product changes from recommendation and approval through communication and implementation
  • Defines and documents product vision and 2–5-year product roadmaps with business partners
  • Aligns stakeholders and removes blockers while driving clarity and sound judgment
  • Supervises direct reports and aligns external resources supporting projects and products
  • Assists with tool and template development for the product management community of practice
  • Advocates for business needs across product lines

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in MIS or other related fields, and 6 years’ experience in portfolio management, IT solution design and delivery capacities; or High School Diploma/GED, and 8 years’ experience in portfolio management, IT solution design and delivery capacities
  • Project Management experience preferred
  • Prior Supervisor experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and guide the implementation of business aligned IT strategic plans
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence at all levels
  • Strong facilitation skills
  • Ability to think laterally and constructively question established process
  • Experience managing expectations for a diverse group of business stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high performing, diverse team
  • Broad knowledge of corporate policies and business strategies including disaster recovery, business continuity and risk management
  • Growth mindset with experience building and managing agile, DevOps solution delivery teams that are autonomous and business process focused
  • Ability to lead and influence individuals at multiple organization levels, fostering a team environment
  • Skilled in product portfolio management
  • Display personal values of teamwork, fact-based decision making, fair and equitable treatment of all and customer driven
