About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Produce and manage Cayman precedents, know-how and client briefings for the Cayman Islands Banking & Finance and Corporate service lines
  • Assist with dissemination of legal and regulatory changes to fee earners
  • Support Knowledge Management initiatives to improve client service and provide competitive advantage
  • Improve document production technology and efficiencies in collaboration with marketing
  • Prepare precedents, practice notes and client briefings
  • Review and standardise transaction processes, including process mapping
  • Maintain current jurisdictional, legal, regulatory and case law content
  • Manage precedent banks, drafting notes, policies and guidance
  • Prepare and deliver training to fee earners
  • Coordinate Banking & Finance and Corporate know-how meetings and run weekly Cayman meetings
  • Drive adoption of approved AI and legal technology tools
  • Develop, test and maintain prompts, playbooks, agents and AI-enabled workflows
  • Identify and implement AI-enabled efficiency, quality and client-service improvements
  • Provide training and support on responsible AI use
  • Support AI governance, implementation and continuous improvement with KM, IT, Risk and business stakeholders
  • Contribute to KM alignment, participation assessment and return-on-investment evaluation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Qualified Cayman Islands corporate / banking and finance lawyer with at least 2 years’ PQE or equivalent legal qualification with appropriate post-qualification experience
  • LLB (Hons) from a reputable tertiary institution and strong academics, with a minimum grade of 2:1 (or equivalent)
  • AI and legal technology experience desirable
  • Experience in private practice
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent technical detail drafting skills
  • Some experience or knowledge of the delivery of knowledge management systems an advantage
  • Enthusiasm for developing knowledge systems and improving access and understanding amongst the business
  • Responsiveness to the needs of fee-earners and support staff where knowledge access is concerned
