About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care
- Provide case management support for cardiac patients
- Educate patients
- Use clinical expertise to address triage and medical decisions
- Perform initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessments
- Document nursing interventions and planned outcomes
- Evaluate and document patient responses to nursing interventions
- Revise plans of care based on evaluative data as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Participate in process improvement activities targeting clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance
- Perform duties with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency in a High Reliability Organization
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required)
- Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio, and/or current Registered Nurse license in good standing with a multi-state compact state
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Ability to provide professional nursing care according to department policies and nursing care standards
- Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care
- Knowledge of Ohio Board of Nursing requirements and Ohio Nurse Practice Act
- Ability to delegate nursing tasks to LPNs and UAPs
- Ability to participate in multidisciplinary care and process improvement activities
