About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify, prospect, qualify, and close new merchant opportunities across the Spanish-speaking LATAM region, primarily iGaming operators and platforms.
  • Own the full sales cycle from lead generation through needs analysis, solution positioning, commercial proposal, negotiation, and signed contract.
  • Coordinate with Legal on contract drafting.
  • Manage accurate, current Salesforce pipeline and provide weekly/monthly forecasts to the Managing Director LATAM and Sales Operations.
  • Work with Compliance on KYB/AML/CTF clearance before contracting.
  • Hand off signed merchants to Merchant Delivery & Operations and the Account Director for onboarding and ongoing account management.
  • Track LATAM payments and iGaming regulatory and competitive landscapes and provide insights to Product and LATAM general managers.
  • Develop relationships with industry associations, integrators, and channel partners.
  • Represent OKTO at relevant LATAM industry events.
  • Meet or exceed assigned new-business revenue and merchant-count targets.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience in payments, fintech, PSP/acquiring, or iGaming in LATAM, with a demonstrable track record of closing new business.
  • Strong understanding of the LATAM regional payments ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with alternative payment methods (APMs), local acquiring, and regulatory contexts across key markets like Mexico, Colombia, Chile, and Peru.
  • Fluent Spanish (native/business fluency).
  • Strong working English for internal reporting and cross-regional collaboration.
  • Portuguese is a plus.
  • Disciplined CRM user; Salesforce preferred.
  • Strong pipeline hygiene and forecast accuracy.
  • Consultative, solution-based sales style.
  • Comfortable navigating multi-stakeholder deals spanning commercial, technical and compliance contacts.
  • Based in Buenos Aires.
  • Willing to travel frequently within the Spanish-speaking LATAM region.
  • Existing relationships with iGaming operators, payment aggregators or high-risk e-commerce merchants active in LATAM is a nice-to-have.
  • Experience selling into regulated or high-risk verticals is a nice-to-have.
  • Familiarity with KYB/AML onboarding processes typical of PSPs is a nice-to-have.
