About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyse data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, risks, and opportunities
- Perform exploratory analysis to answer business questions and support decision making
- Translate data findings into clear and actionable business insights
- Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, reports, and scorecards
- Ensure reporting outputs are accurate, relevant, and aligned with business requirements
- Present findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
- Collect, clean, validate, and prepare data for analysis and reporting
- Identify inconsistencies, gaps, and anomalies and work with data owners to resolve data quality issues
- Engage with stakeholders to understand reporting and analytical requirements
- Translate business needs into reporting specifications and analytical outputs
- Support measurement frameworks and key performance indicators
- Identify operational and customer experience improvement opportunities through data analysis
- Monitor business performance metrics and highlight significant changes or emerging trends
- Contribute to evidence-based recommendations supporting business objectives
- Follow data governance, privacy, and security standards
- Maintain documentation of reports, data sources, and business definitions
- Build working relationships with internal stakeholders and provide analytical support
- Develop knowledge of analytical tools, reporting platforms, and banking products
- Stay informed about data analytics and business intelligence trends and participate in continuous learning
Requirements
What you’ll need- Relevant qualification in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, Finance, or a related field; preferably a Bachelor's Degree
- 1 to 2 years' experience in a Data Analyst, Reporting Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or similar analytical role
- Experience working with Power BI
- Experience using SQL for data extraction and analysis
- Exposure to Python, R, or other analytical tools would be advantageous
- Experience within the banking or financial services industry would be advantageous
- Knowledge of data governance, privacy, security, data quality, and compliance requirements
- Computer literacy
- Data compilation, data controls, data management, data modeling, gap analysis, management reporting, market analysis, and user requirements documentation
