About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive profitable growth across Oliver Winery's national account universe by translating complex data into clear selling propositions
  • Identify distribution opportunities, diagnose performance gaps, and quantify revenue potential
  • Conduct market research on trends, competitive dynamics, and consumer preferences
  • Develop account-specific strategies using distribution gaps, fair share, market indexing, velocity, and TDP analyses
  • Analyze performance across volume, market share, pricing, promotions, shelf space, and distribution
  • Conduct geographic, economic, business performance, and category forecast analyses
  • Deliver actionable insights for account presentations, business reviews, and executive decision-making
  • Design reports, leave-behinds, category reviews, and customized recurring or ad-hoc reporting
  • Provide merchandising insights and SKU-level assortment recommendations
  • Perform post-program analysis and optimize promotional strategies
  • Develop pricing strategies and promotional plans
  • Analyze trade investment spending and distributor compliance
  • Support category plans and present formal category reviews and business planning presentations
  • Establish partnerships with National Account and Trade Marketing teams
  • Collaborate with Trade Marketing and Marketing on product messaging and positioning
  • Support sales teams with ad-hoc data requests and analytical questions
  • Proactively share industry trends, shopper insights, competitor activities, and relevant data-tool findings

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years of experience in Category Management, Trade Marketing, Analytics, or Insights
  • CPG and/or retail experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated fluency with retail scan data, including Nielsen, TABS, IRI/Circana, or equivalent
  • Proficiency in TDP and velocity-based analysis
  • Experience with fair share analysis and market indexing
  • Ability to conduct cross-retailer and cross-market benchmarking
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills, including building models, dynamic reports, and presentation-ready visuals
  • Proficiency in Nielsen, TABS, Power BI, VIP, or equivalent category management platforms
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to design self-contained deliverables, leave-behinds, category reviews, and reports
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and timelines
  • Willingness to travel to sales and customer meetings, planning workshops, and category reviews
  • Interest in and appreciation for wine and the beverage industry
