About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive profitable growth across Oliver Winery's national account universe by translating complex data into clear selling propositions
- Identify distribution opportunities, diagnose performance gaps, and quantify revenue potential
- Conduct market research on trends, competitive dynamics, and consumer preferences
- Develop account-specific strategies and identify distribution gaps across the Oliver portfolio
- Perform fair share, market indexing, velocity, TDP, geographic, economic, and category analyses
- Analyze root causes of performance gaps across volume, market share, pricing, promotions, shelf space, and distribution
- Deliver actionable insights for account presentations, business reviews, and executive decisions
- Design reports, leave-behinds, category reviews, and customized recurring or ad-hoc reporting
- Provide merchandising insights and SKU-level assortment recommendations
- Conduct post-program analysis and optimize promotional strategies
- Develop and evaluate pricing strategies and promotional plans
- Analyze trade investment spending and distributor compliance
- Support category plans and present formal category reviews and business planning presentations
- Quantify revenue opportunities for distribution gaps, SKU additions, and market expansion
- Partner with National Account, Trade Marketing, Marketing, Sales, and senior leadership teams
- Provide timely support for ad-hoc data requests and analytical questions
- Monitor industry trends, shopper insights, competitor activities, and data tools
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 4+ years of experience in Category Management, Trade Marketing, Analytics, or Insights
- CPG and/or retail experience strongly preferred
- Fluency with retail scan data, including Nielsen, TABS, IRI/Circana, or equivalent
- Proficiency in TDP and velocity-based analysis
- Experience with fair share analysis and market indexing
- Ability to conduct cross-retailer and cross-market benchmarking
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Proficiency in Nielsen, TABS, Power BI, VIP, or equivalent category management platforms
- Familiarity with data visualization tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to design self-sufficient deliverables, leave-behinds, category reviews, and reports
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and timelines
- Willingness to travel to sales and customer meetings, planning workshops, and category reviews, approximately 1–2 trips per month
- Interest in and appreciation for wine and the beverage industry
- Some evening and occasional weekend work required
