About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Order and stock IV medications
  • Maintain adequate supplies and medications needed for the infusion center
  • Maintain order and cleanliness in the drug preparation area and infusion room
  • Accurately prepare IV products efficiently according to guidelines and aseptic technique
  • Support the operations of a private oncology practice and infusion center

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of two years experience in a practice pharmacy setting
  • Knowledge of computer system
  • Knowledge of daily infusion center operations pertaining to mixing and dispensing medications
  • Knowledge of common safety hazards and precaution to maintain a safe work environment
  • Skill in reading doctor/nurses orders and interpreting doses
  • Skill in mixing IV products accurately
  • Must be willing to travel between the Middletown and Westbrook locations
  • National Pharmacy Certification a plus
  • Prior oncology experience preferred
